Apart from a brief visit by s in , no geologist came to Skaergaard again until , when there was a new British East Greenland Geological Expedition (Deer, ). The main purpose of this expedition was to sample the intrusion by several diamond drill holes: a deep hole in the Hidden Zone and several shorter holes specifically.
